Wahiba Desert Camp
Please note! Due to the Embassy holding the World Cup 2010 launch on Wednesday the 21st October 2009, The executive have taken the decision to postpone the Wahiba Sands trip on the Thursday 22nd October( The next day!), and combine it with “The Christmas in the Desert” trip to the Wahiba Sands on the 17th December 2009.This will mean an even greater party for the entire family on the 17th December !! only a month or so later! We regret any inconvenience. - Next day back to Muscat via Sur on the Tiwi coastal road
- Picnic possibly at the sinkhole or Wadi Shab

Dhow Cruise and Fireworks display
Date: 5 November 2009
Location: Marina Bandar Rowda
Time: 18h00. The dhow leaves at 18h00 sharp. Duration is about three hours.
- Watch the fireworks display at PDO from the sea side
- Maximum of 50 people.
Wadi Shab (Tiwi) and White Sands Camping Trip
This is a self run camping trip. The committee is merely facilitating the concept.
Date: 26 - 27 November 2009
Location: White Sands beach and Wadi Shab in Tiwi.
- Early campers set up camp on Wednesday evening (25 November) on Fins beach - near the sinkhole.
- Other campers follow on Thursday morning or afternoon and set up camp. (Please bring a bag of firewood for the evening camp fire.)
- Thursday evening Bring-and-Braai / Potjie (self-catering throughout)
- Guitar players and singers required for the beach braai.
- Friday morning breakfast in camp.
- Meet day travellers from Muscat and Sur at the sinkhole @ 09h00.
- Split into two groups (depending on what you prefer:)
- Hikers trek up Wadi Shab (remember a bathing suit)
- 09h30 drive to Wadi Shab. Hike starts @ +- 10h00. Hike to the pools and hidden cave and waterfall. Approximately two hour easy walk.
- Swim, relax and picnic.
- Drivers drive up Wadi Tiwi
- 09h30 drive to Wadi Tiwi and explore as much as you want to.
- Picnic near one of the beautiful streams right in the mountains.
- Return at leisure to Muscat on Friday afternoon.
SAGO Golf Day - Springbok Trials
South African Golf trials for the World Cup Golf day scheduled for 14 January 2010.
Professionals and Hackers welcome - they will be kept apart!
